I’ve been busy and full of pollen and somehow I’m behind on art all of a sudden, so you get Sharpie Week Redux! All Sharpie sketches, all week. Today’s was at the request of @kdlb on Twitter, who asked for a weeble inspired by the Avengers movie. I couldn’t resist the chance to weeble-ify Samuel L. Jackson, and so, here we are.

Sharpie Week is one of the ways I trim back obligations when I’m overwhelmed. What’s your solution?

Overwhelmed? I plan, schedule, organize. And then, sometimes, retreat.
Not necessarily in that order. And not necessarily recommended, either!

Sharpie Week’s a bit of a strategic retreat — less words, less image editing, less photography. I also like to make a detailed list of all the things that need doing, so I stop feeling so much like I’m forgetting several somethings, and go from there.

So, retreat to plan, schedule, & organize sounds workable to me! Just as long as you come back from your retreat all regrouped and ready to rumble. 😉

oh, i love him, he turned out very cute as a weeble! (have I mentioned how excited I am for this movie? tee hee)

when I’m overwhelmed, I turn to my knitting. I know my limits and have to take a break. I don’t recommend avoidance, but sometimes it’s necessary. Good for you for calling out and asking for ideas!

Badass, yet adorable, just like SLJ 😉

Stuff like Sharpie Week is always more fun if I can get inspiration from friends, so it’s not just a bit of retreating but something enjoyable as well.

    Thanks for the suggestion! ♥
