Harry Potter Valentines
Wednesday, January 25th, 2012
I wanted to make a silly Harry Potter Valentine card this year for my friends who love these characters, since not all of my friends got all fannish about Sherlock the way I did. One of them suggested Snape teaching Harry to brew those candy message hearts, and after googling for some bad Latin, this is the card front.
Of course, I couldn’t stop there, we had to see the results!
As you can see, someone’s got a bit of a crush on his teacher, but Snape’s still in denial. I’m sure it’ll have a happy ending, though.
Apericordis, 7″x5″ pen and ink and Copic markers on paper. You can get your own copy of this silly little card here on Etsy.

Happy Halloween!
Monday, October 31st, 2011
I drew this years ago for a Halloween card exchange. Each costume and caption filled one eighth of one of those paper fortune tellers of the sort I used as a kid. I had to Google how to fold one, it had been so long! Perhaps next year I’ll make a Cthulhu one. Or Harry Potter himself, just so Snape can enjoy sharing the misery.

Weeble Voldemort
Wednesday, July 20th, 2011
Yeah, I said his name. I’m not afraid of the Dark Lord, all things considered.
In honour of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, my friend Gretchen suggested I weeble Voldemort. This is an homage to a certain scene in the movie, but trust me, if you haven’t seen it, this won’t spoil it.
I even gave him a cute plushie Nagini to hang out by his feet with her patchwork spots.
Weeble Voldemort, 5.5″x8.5″ pen and ink and Copic markers on sketchbook paper, not for sale.

Fly Me to the Moon
Saturday, October 16th, 2010
This is another image I designed for a t-shirt using a sketch, this one even more appropriate to the season. A bit of Harry Potter and a bit of Sinatra are together in a witchy Halloween image.
This is definitely my favorite time of year, so enjoy!

Better Than Snail Mail
Saturday, October 9th, 2010
I drew this snowy owl several years ago for the program book at a convention, and then ended up making Cafepress swag out of it on a whim. I have it on a coaster and some greeting cards, actually, though I never bought the t-shirt for myself.
It also was the basis for my shoulder tattoo, although that owl is carrying a book rather than a letter.

Snape
Sunday, August 1st, 2010
To go with yesterday’s botched Potions lesson, here’s a very stylized drawing of Professor Snape to go with it. The lightning bolt is from a very silly little Harry Potter stamp kit, and the rest is pen and ink.

Potions Accident
Saturday, July 31st, 2010
By now I’m sure it’s obvious I’m a big fan of the Harry Potter books, so I thought I’d post another little drawing I did. The cheap paper made the Copic markers bleed a little more than usual, but I like the effect in the eerie magic flame under Harry’s cauldron.
