This little sketch was an experiment with a different style than my usual, and I’m rather pleased with the way he came out. I’m also amused that the scan is probably twice as big as the original, which is quite tiny in my little sketchbook.

Most of the time when I sell a Coloring Book I just have to guess what the recipient might like, but this time I knew it was going to be a birthday gift for a friend. So, I drew her a cheerful sort of monster, happily knitting from its own shaggy coat.

Today’s sketch went into some nice person’s Cthulhu Coloring Book, or perhaps a Monster Heart one. It’s hard to remember sometimes. The Ogre was inspired by an episode of Grimm, one of the few shows I watch that wasn’t cancelled.

I have finally accepted the inevitability that I’ll end up drawing Doctor Who cartoons, and as such worked up this little sketch of the Tenth Doctor. I’m not sure I’ve quite got his chin and mad hair working yet, but the costume is just right.
