Sharpie Week: Golden Snitch
Thursday, June 14th, 2012
My house guest has flown back to DC, and I’ve got one more day of vacation plans before it’s back to the grind. Actually there’ll be a little grind today, since I’ve got a teleclass, but we’re pretending that’s just not the case at the moment. Much like how we’re pretending that the above Snitch is actually round.
Also, my cats say hi, and want you to know that I’m never allowed to leave the house again.

Sharpie Week: Wood Fairy
Wednesday, June 13th, 2012
This cheerful little trickster was by request of the wonderful patron who commissioned the Forest Dragon. He’s totally contemplating what mischief he can get into next.

Conjoined or just Annoyed?
Sunday, June 3rd, 2012
I’m not sure if this is really twins or just some really strange dress-up, but either way the one on the right is really not thrilled about it all.
Hope your Sunday’s awesome!

Mother Hydra Weds Father Dagon
Saturday, May 26th, 2012
When I was done coloring this and Monday’s zombies, I realized that I’d managed to do only 2 drawings, but color 4 figures with 7 heads between them. Whew!
This one was also done specifically to be a card, this time to bring a little Cthulhu to your wedding season. Dagon is the big bad from Shadows Over Innsmouth, and while Lovecraft’s Hydra doesn’t get a lot of description, it was easy to adapt the classic many-headed monster of myth to this purpose. I especially enjoy the boutonniere pinned straight to Dagon’s chest.
Yeah, I’m a little morbid.

Zombie Dad Plays Catch
Monday, May 21st, 2012
I didn’t manage anything specific for Mother’s Day this year, but I have two cards for geek dads on Father’s Day. The first one was my Harry Potter art from February, and now I’ve got zombies to round out the selection.
I made the zombie kid somewhat gender neutral, so anyone can feel good suggesting that their dad would still play catch with them even if they were both to become the brain-hungry undead. And if you use a head for catch, then it’s a game and a snack after!

Tenth Doctor sketch 1
Sunday, May 20th, 2012
I have finally accepted the inevitability that I’ll end up drawing Doctor Who cartoons, and as such worked up this little sketch of the Tenth Doctor. I’m not sure I’ve quite got his chin and mad hair working yet, but the costume is just right.

Doctor Who Bookmark 1
Saturday, May 12th, 2012
I’ve optimistically numbered this 1, assuming I’ll get the urge to do more Doctor Who bookmarks in the future. The Eleventh Doctor is contemplating his lot with his TARDIS parked a bit precariously on a hill, and not liking his options at the moment. But don’t worry, he’ll figure some way out.
He’s the Doctor. It’s what he does.

Above, a close-up of our pouting Doctor. Below, he’s hanging out with my Free Comic Book Day book from last Saturday’s outing, an excellent reminder that I love sequential art and ought to do more of it.
