Cuplets, 7″x5″ pen and ink and Copic marker on paper
My lovely patron, who sometimes gets called a teacup-sized human, has made some tiny humans of their own! They asked to be immortalized in chibi form, and thus we have the cuplets. We went with a mix of new-school design and old-school bright comic colors for our Wonder Woman, and old school all the way for Spock’s cosplay.
Basically, they have the best parent and I have the best patrons.

Teacups, 7″x5″ Copic marker and gel pen on paper
A lovely, solid seafoam green mug. Beautiful blue-painted china with gold accents. A standard diner cup. A travel mug that says, “I like my coffee more than I like you.” A fluted, delicate china teacup in dreamy lavender. And finally, a giant piglet mug.
There’s so many ways to take your tea and coffee, from to-go cups to a favorite mug, fine porcelain to hand-thrown pottery. Enjoy half a dozen vessels drawn with no sketches or linework in loose, graceful art marker and highlighted in white gel pen.

Above, you can see a bit of detail on the cups, though the color is more accurate in the scan. Below, the teacups are displayed in a frame, taking up quite a lot less space than the real thing!

The second of Disco’s commissions, and I even got to make Hermione black, which is awesome.
The flowers in both crown and bouquet are flax blossoms, lavender, and azaleas, chosen for their meaning and also the pink-blue-purple color scheme. The ladies are sporting House-themed robes, and are generally looking pretty adorable together.
These are drawn as close to a square aspect ratio as possible, so that they work as emoji on Slack. Their adorable 2-head-high chibi style conveys a lot of personality in a tiny space.

More commissions! Yes, my queue continues to be full, and yes, it’s awesome.
One of my wonderful online friends wanted a portrait of her sparkly nerd lesbian self with her fancy new mermaid hair and cute yellow short-shorts, front and back to make the most awesome silly chibi thing yet – pillows! Plush Disco for all!
And of course we made them into Slack emoji, since that’s where we primarily hang out, and what is chat without a disco-dancing Disco?

A ghostly apparition, white fog, and a leaf-crowned tree.
A bright pop of color slowly embraced by the fog, warm red-brown bark supporting the green and gold foliage of early fall. A cool grey figure that might be a spirit or might just be hidden by the mist.
What stories can you write for this image?
This is the perfect painting for someone with a head full of fairy tales who just needs a starting point to get their fingers moving.

Is this where I just admit I have sold a LOT of these chibi commissions lately? But they’re just so fun, I have no regrets.
These are for Halloween, of course! Arthur and Eames from Inception coming back again as the Devil and a ghost. Arthur is smarming it up in his red velvet suit, straightening his cuffs as he leans nonchalantly in wait. Eames is looking extra spiffy floating along in his vintage windowpane check.
And of course on the right I have the little sketch ghost I drew just to test Eames’ colors before the real thing. Boo!
