Tea

Tea by Amy Crook

Tea, 6″x6″ watercolor and tea on paper, $250.

Do you love tea? Because I love tea so much I made a zine about it.

These illustrations made up the bulk of the zine’s pictures, rendered in soft watercolor on a tea-dyed background. There’s green tea and black, loose tea and bags, in a simple celebration of the drink.

March 2023 Patreon sketches

Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023

It’s spring here, and mostly that means sinus headaches, whee. I had fun with these Patreon supporter sketches, though, especially the addition to my 100 Cats series. Which is almost done! I hope you’re having a lovely May, and aren’t actually a cylon.

March 2023 ACEO sketches by Amy Crook

  • Amy B asked for a monkey, and gets this napping weirdo. (sold)
  • Jefferson asked for a cylon, and gets the true leader of them. Cats, after all, do things by no one’s command. (sold)
  • Rey prompted “frak you, pay me!” and got a slightly abstract being of pure fiery righteousness, shaking their fist at the powers above, finished work at their back. (sold)
  • Eric asked for Willow, and I couldn’t resist drawing Jade, because her hair is amazing, her freckles are amazing, and her grumpiness is amazing. I don’t know what happened here but I’d be grumpy, too, tbh. (sold)

And with this, we are caught up entirely! But don’t worry, there’s 100 Cats to start posting soon…

Ash Ghost zine

Monday, February 10th, 2020

Happy Patreoniversary!

I’ve been on Patreon for 5 years now, amazing! I’ve managed to grow a lovely little community there of supporters and friends, and I’d like to invite you to join with a special offer*.

Ash Ghost zine by Amy Crook

Ash Ghost zine

I’m going to make a limited run of these little zines for my patrons! They’re made by hand, printed right here in my living room as always and lovingly assembled and stapled just for you. The unsettling short story inside uses my Ash Ghost art series as both inspiration and illustration, including a new one created just for the cover.

Every one of these will be signed and numbered, and the edition will be exclusive to my Patreon supporters. You don’t even have to buy one — everyone who is at the $10+ level in February will get one in the mail for free!

I’m also including these lovely bookmarks, which will be available on Etsy afterward (unlike the zine).

If you’re not a patron by then, you’ll have missed your window and the zine, but there’s still a bunch of great perks even at the lowest level. Become a supporter today!

*Offer ended on Feb. 29, 2020.

Swablus

blue and gold Swablus cuddling on a branch, by Amy Crook

Swablus, 7″x5″ pen & ink and Copic marker on paper

My Pokemon commission patron has refreshed his list with a new batch of shiny goodness, and we’re starting with this adorable pair of Swablu, They look nice together in the non-shiny blue and shiny gold, hanging out and snuggling up in the chill spring night.

These two will make an adorable Valentine when the time comes, don’t you think?

You Are Enough

Tuesday, March 19th, 2019

soft goat farmer Bucky knows you are enough just as you are

You Are Enough, 8″x10″ ink on paper

Another day, another finished commission! Roxanne asked me for an affirmation, along with a chibi, on a larger page than my usual. Since I knew she likes the Winter Soldier, I drew soft goat farmer Bucky from end of Black Panther, though I gave him a gold wrap instead of the red one to go with his blue shawl.

The goats are both from goat memes, and they just really wanted to come along for the ride.

All of them agree on one thing, though: You are enough just as you are.

Baby Cthulhu

Thursday, February 21st, 2019

Cthulhu in a pink bonnet and diaper, with yellow teddy bear slippers, holding a teddy bear's head and sucking on a pacifier, by Amy Crook

Baby Cthulhu, 8″x10″ pen & ink and Copic marker on paper

My friend Amber had a baby and I’ve been given the duty of being the lad’s fairy gothmother. So far that’s mostly consisted of helping keep mom sane, but she also commissioned me to draw something for the baby’s room.

Cthulhu here is a bit crabby about his getup, from the pink bonnet and binky to the happy yellow slippers. He’s expressing his displeasure with some rather graphic threats enacted on the poor teddy bear. Watch out, this Elder God’s not too into his naptime after all.

Want a Cthulhu shirt of your own? I put this baby on Redbubble so you, too, can sport a cranky Cthulhu.
