Cthulhu Pickup Lines
Thursday, January 21st, 2016
“You’re hotter than Cthugha…”
“Are you an Elder God? Because your looks are driving me insane…”
“Even with strange aeons, my love will never die…”
Perhaps Cthulhu is not cut out for pickup lines.
Buy the Valentine in my Etsy shop, and show someone you love them in the cheesiest, most tentacular way possible.

Morning Kiss
Tuesday, January 19th, 2016
A lovely patron asked me to do a number of commissions for her, and this one got moved to the top of the pile in order to make it available as a Valentine!
She wanted a sweet morning moment, of Bond is just his pj bottoms and Q in cute sleep shorts, with James bringing his Quartermaster his first cup of Earl Grey. And, of course, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
Cutie pies.

Candles Make it More Romantic
Thursday, January 14th, 2016
When Sherlock finally decided to go all-out for John and put candles on the table, he really put candles on the table. He starts to say, “I might have gone a bit…” but John interrupts with, “Angelo was right, Candles do make the table more romantic.”
A wonderful card for a Valentine or year round to show how nice it is to be loved just as you are.

A Little Cuttle
Tuesday, January 12th, 2016
How about a little cuttle? Cuttlefish, that is. This punny cephalopod has heart eyes just for you!
Give the Valentine to someone you adore, or simply can’t wait to get your tentacles around.

Cuppa Cheer
Monday, January 4th, 2016
If you’re on my (admittedly tiny) holiday card list, you’ve already seen this art! I haven’t yet put the gold paint on this image for scanning reasons, but I’d be happy to gild the cup’s golden edges for you if you want some extra sparkle for your home.
This painting would add some cheer to any Christmas-celebrating home. Put it in a frame and pull it out at the holidays every year to celebrate both the season and the value of a good cuppa tea.
What kind of tea do you like best?

Above, you can see the holly decorating the teabag tag on this cheerful cuppa. Below, it’s sitting in a plain frame, though one could easily find a beautiful holiday holder for future display.

Mod Bird
Thursday, December 3rd, 2015
This adorably stylized bird was an experiment in water solubility — although the ink is in no way waterproof, I loved the result anyway!
I’m reminded of childhood, the Partridge Family logo and the patterns one might find on things in the ’70s, or lingering from the ’60s. The teal and apple green inks are softened to watercolor-like texture, except in the eye, where there’s a tiny bit of gold lurking in the depths.

Above, you can see the tiny spirals in his lovely blue breast, gently blurred by the water blush into a pattern that looks pettably soft. Below, the bird is caged in its frame, waiting to decorate your hep pad.

Word Art, week 4+2
Monday, November 30th, 2015
November’s over, and I won at NaNoWriMo, hooray! I even managed a piece of word art every day through flu and freezing cold and fickle cats trying to sleep on my hands while I typed. So yay for finished projects!
I have had an inquiry about making a booklet of these — what do you think? Would you want a handmade book of weird words? It would be a lot of work to scan and format and print, but it might be fun to have the project preserved for posterity.
