Brave Heart
Posted on October 20th, 2016
This is the first in a series of all 13 Doctors I’ll be doing for a Patreon patron! The Fifth Doctor is his favorite, and so I had to go all out with the celery and stripey trousers. So stripey.
You can get this cheerful portrait on a card in my Etsy shop, since the original is on its way to Australia!

Inktober 2016, Week 2
Posted on October 17th, 2016
Inktober continues apace! It’s a busy week, so there’s some easy stuff and some more complex ink art. Some of these will be available as cards, some of them will be in a bookmark sale for my email list next month, and some of them are already spoken for. There’s even a couple of things destined for November’s Floating Gallery. Quite a variety!

Double-Oh Mistletoe
Posted on October 14th, 2016
The holidays are coming whether we’re ready or not! This adorable bit of Inktober art doubles as a Christmas card for the chosen few. James Bond is cuddling his Quartermaster under the mistletoe, both of them dressed for the holidays. Q is even sporting a cheerful red bow in his messy mop of hair!

The Floating Gallery has closed, but Inktober is very much still going! Here’s a recap of the first week-and-a-bit of 2016’s art. Some of these will be available as cards, some of them will be in a bookmark sale for my email list next month, and some of them are already spoken for. Quite a variety!

Diverge
Posted on October 8th, 2016
The watery, shimmery blue Pathways are diverging in this layered abstract painting.
A subtle, mottled pattern of dark blues and black voids hides behind the turquoise waterfalls spilling to either side of the central path. The texture of the top layer is softened by the paint beneath it, but the sparkle shines through in the right light.
These pathways diverge, but for once you can have it both ways.
Above, you can see one set of divergent pathways running over the soft, textured background in dark blue and darker black. Below, the pathways are contained in a frame, reminding us to look both ways.

Bees 3
Posted on October 7th, 2016
It’s been almost a year since the first bees buzzed over during Inktober.
This trio of bees are painted in a beautiful gold-infused grey ink, and paired with a paint made of real bronzite mineral that has its own subtle sparkle. The deep honey-gold evokes an unfiltered local honey, full of flavor and goodness.
Above, you can see a detail of the uppermost bee, with the gold in the linework catching the sunlight along its body. Below, the bees are buzzing around their frame like they’re at home in a hive box.

Autumn Dusk
Posted on October 6th, 2016
Another soft, dusky Horizons painting small enough to fit on a bookshelf, desk, or surprising bit of wall.
There’s a gentle rain falling in the gloomy sky behind these delicately branching trees. Three brave birds fly through it, getting to their nighttime roosts before full dark.
Where could these fit in your home, keeping a bit of autumn for you all year?
Above, you can see the minuscule detail of lacy, spooky branches. Below, this small piece is tucked into a tiny frame, ready to add a bit of autumn to some little nook or cranny in your home.
