A bunch of goodies this time! Patron stuff, non-patron stuff, and spaaaaaaace!
I got in a weird mood and did a whole bunch of things that were not for patrons before getting to those, so bear with me. From the top left:
- Jefferson asked for “patience, dammit” and gets this grumpy yet patient crow (sold)
- This is a bird no one asked for
- Amy B asked for “hibernate” and gets a random dark fluffball hiding in a blanket burrito, with blep (sold)
- Skulls 1, 2, and 3 are vaguely portraits of my holiday centerpiece, which consisted of Edgar, Ezra Bean, and Dalton, respectively. Yes, I do name my skulls. Don’t you?
- This blue galaxy is by special request (sold)
- Eric asked for the Great Pumpkin and I went horror with it sorry (sold)
- Rey & Amber requested “seasons change” and get some word art (sold)
- The lunar eclipse is for SaraBeth (sold)
- Nick wanted Pumpkin SPICY and gets a pumpkin chili pepper jack-o-lantern pun (sold)
- Kelly asked for dragons and gets these two little dudes (sold)
- In the second image we have a whole rainbow of galaxies! (all sold)
Thanks again for being awesome!

The Reaching Tree

The Reaching Tree, 5″x7″ watercolor on paper
It’s a tree of a different color! Deep violet-black and slightly glittery, this amethyst paint uses real minerals to create gorgeous textures. The moon has a little extra shine of its own, as it should, but the painting is otherwise entirely monochrome.
The tree reaches into the sky, always seeking something in the way of trees. Below it, the figure has more hands than seems strictly warranted, reaching just as the tree is, though possibly not for the same thing.
Just in case, perhaps stay out of arms’ reach. If you can figure out how long that is, anyway.

The Reaching Tree, detail, by Amy Crook
Above, you can see the way the figure’s ghostly arms reach and reach. Is one of them reaching for you? Well, you can keep it safely behind glass in a frame, should you wish to.

Deep in the Middle Twilight

Deep in the Middle Twilight, 12″x6″ watercolor on paper
This fanciful painting is also a foot wide, but a mere six inches tall! Thick, textured watercolor gives us a deep ocean current on which floats a plethora sea life. Well, and a ghost.
The watery backdrop is a deep matte teal, while the sea life all sparkles and shines, much like the actual creatures that live in the Twilight Zone (not the tv show). The giant squid waves hello from off to the left, our little ghost meditates on the right, and both tropical fish and jellyfish dance through the rest of the space.
This art would be a fun addition to any room, a little spark of whimsy to brighten up any space.

Above, you can see our little green ghostie shining brightly from the strength of its own spirit. Below, I’ve badly stuck this in a temporary frame to show how big it is — a larger frame will do it better justice once you’ve got it home!

ACEO sketch cards by Amy Crook
Patreon requests from October 2021, which got done in November, ie, after the 48-hour cardstravaganza. Requests always close the last day of the month, and get done before the end of the next month, in theory. We are returning to this pattern though!
From top left:
- Jeff asked for “kobold spooky chef”
- Eric wanted the Upside Down from Stranger Things
- and Rey asked for “remember” in relation to either the 5th of November or the 21st day of September, and since I couldn’t decide I did both. It’s sparkly!

Artifacts of the Resolution
Wednesday, July 14th, 2021
Making prints work out is always an interesting challenge with a new program and a new printer.
Instead of recycling this low-res misprint, I used my mineral-based watercolors to paint over it. I added the cloudy russet sunset and gave the tree texture, body, and new details. All of the birds stayed at their original resolution, which gives the painting its name.
Look, I can’t be expected to resist a pun that good.

Above, you can see up close the motion-blur of the branches next to the clear pixelation on the birds, as though they’re visiting from some other, lower-resolution reality. Below, the painting is resting in a frame, waiting to be sent to someone new.

Kawaii Dead Yet (with Treasure Hull)
Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021

Kawaii Dead Yet by Amy Crook and Treasure Hull
In the Before Times, I gave the central postcard to Treasure Hull with some of the art you see already done on it, and asked if they’d be interested in continuing it as a collaboration. It’s taken a long time, but they finally mailed it back to me, and it’s amazing!
They pasted the smaller postcard onto a larger piece of paper and turned it into this surrealist kitty, mixing my soft, dreamy watercolors with their bright, trippy pen-and-ink details. There’s even stars cut out of the paper and taken from elsewhere and stuck onto this piece!
The original’s going in my personal collection, but I thought I’d share it here for you all to enjoy.
